Reasonable Doubt explores how uncertainty fuels growth and self-discovery. Inspired by Y2K streetwear, utilitarian workwear, and alternative music subcultures, the collection reflects the dualities shaping modern youth. Each piece celebrates the coexistence of contradictions and how self-expression thrives in the spaces between certainty and doubt.
For this project, I worked almost exclusively with denim, crafting pieces that highlight its versatility and raw appeal. From drafting patterns to sourcing materials, prototyping, and constructing garments by hand, I oversaw every stage of development. This hands-on process allowed me to create a cohesive and authentic collection, with a strong focus on denim outerwear and jeans.
Reasonable Doubt debuted at the 2024 Threads Fashion Gala at the Contemporary Art Museum of Raleigh, showcasing how embracing ambiguity can inspire creative innovation.
